Candy wrapping machines are built around speed, repeatable sealing, and simple changeover. The performance features below cover the main functions. The fault list covers the problems operators see most often, with the likely cause and the fix.

Performance

Dual inverter control. Bag length can be set and cut without an empty run adjustment. This saves time and film.

HMI. The human-machine interface makes parameter setting quick. Operators can adjust packaging parameters without a long setup.

Fault self-diagnosis. The display shows fault codes in plain view. Maintenance staff can find the problem faster.

High-sensitivity photoelectric color mark tracking. The seal and cut position is entered digitally. This makes the cut position more accurate and helps keep package appearance consistent.

Independent PID temperature control. Each temperature zone can be set to suit different packaging materials.

Positioning stop. The cutter stops in a position that keeps it from sticking to the film. This reduces film waste.

Simple transmission. The drive system has fewer parts, which makes operation more reliable and maintenance easier.

Software-based control. Functions are set in software. This makes adjustment and technical upgrades easier.

Common faults and fixes

Cutter holder position is wrong

The cutter holder may be too high or too low. If the packaging speed is too fast, or the push rod and cutter are not synchronized, the cutter can cut into the product.

Fix: Lower the packaging speed. Adjust the end seal parts up or down so the sealing jaw center sits at the middle of the product height.

Film color mark problem

The color mark may be too light. The film drive may slip. If color mark tracking is off, the cut position can drift away from the mark.

Fix: Adjust sensitivity as shown in the machine manual. In the HMI, switch the tracking mode to "track cut."

Seal scorching or wrinkling

High temperature, low speed, or poor heat resistance in the outer film layer can leave scorch marks or wrinkles at the seal.

Fix: Increase speed, lower temperature, or change the film material.

Temperature control failure

A burned solid-state relay, a damaged temperature controller, or a damaged thermocouple can stop the temperature display from controlling heat.

Fix: Replace the thermocouple, the temperature controller, or the heating element.

Weak heat seal

Wrong air pressure, a loose cylinder swing arm, low heating temperature, or a heat roller that is not parallel to the drive roller can cause a weak seal.

Fix: Adjust parallelism. Set temperature and air pressure to the correct values. Tighten the loose parts.

Seal leakage or weak seal

High speed, poor inner-layer heat seal performance, or low temperature can cause a missed seal or a weak seal.

Fix: Slow the machine, raise the temperature, or change the film material.

When a cutter, sealing jaw, forming part, or drive component reaches its wear limit, Hansheng Automation can machine a replacement from customer drawings. We match material, tolerance, and surface treatment to the machine and working conditions.

Hansheng Automation also machines custom precision parts beyond candy wrapping equipment. We work from customer drawings for filling machinery, tobacco packaging machinery, printing equipment, food machinery, and medical devices. We also handle yacht components and RC car components. We do single pieces and small batches.
