As one of the world's leading robot manufacturers, ABB Robotics' booth was full on the first day of the exhibition, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of ABB Robotics' innovation journey, ABB Robotics made a grand debut with a number of new products, including the world premiere of the GoFa™ cobot's breakthrough Ultra Accuracy (ultra-high precision function option), as well as the release of the new generation of robot control platform OmniCore™ and the modular large robot IRB 7710 and IRB7720, with the theme of "It's a Robot, It's Infinite Possibilities", brought a wonderful and innovative experience to the audience.
On closer inspection, ABB Robotics' Ultra Accuracy is a new industry-leading feature in its GoFa™ cobot family, which delivers the highest level of accuracy among cobots available today, with more than 10 times more path accuracy than other cobots on the market. By combining ultra-accurate path performance with the inherent simplicity, safety and flexibility of GoFa, ABB's new Ultra Accuracy enables precision manufacturing in the electronics, automotive, aerospace and metalworking industries.
ABB's next-generation robot control platform, OmniCore™, with an investment of US$170 million, is a revolution in robot software control and another milestone in ABB's 50-year history of robot innovation. OmniCore™ provides a faster, more accurate and more sustainable intelligent automation platform that increases business productivity and flexibility, running 25 percent faster and using 20 percent less energy than previous ABB controllers. The architecture will enable the full integration of AI, sensors, cloud computing, and edge computing systems to create advanced autonomous robotics applications.
ABB's new IRB 7710 and IRB 7720 series of large robots are available in 16 models, further enriching ABB's portfolio of large robots with unprecedented flexibility for a wide range of high-load assembly and high-precision applications, efficiently handling a wide range of applications in EV, hybrid and conventional vehicle production, including stamping, body-in-white, tram battery assembly and final vehicle assembly, with energy savings of up to 30%.
In addition, all members of ABB Robotics' next-generation robot control platform OmniCore™, the integration of two ABB robots and B&R's ACOPOStrak flexible rail system and many other products and solutions were also on display at the ABB Robotics booth, booth E001 in hall 8.1.
