Do you think cobots have the ability to bottleneck? It's already muffled to unlock new scenes.
The 24th China International Industry Fair is underway, the reporter learned from a number of robot exhibitors, at present, domestic Foxconn and other "fruit chain" manufacturers, as well as BYD, Xiaomi and other car-making forces, are provoking a large-scale involution of collaborative robots - these head enterprise benchmark factories, has deployed a number of brands of domestic collaborative robots for "practice", testing whether the robot can be competent for curved screen transmission and transfer, photovoltaic panel handling, arc welding and other past "must be" scenarios, will be selected in the future.

At last year's Industry Fair, a large number of domestic collaborative robots were still struggling to cross the "hill" of arm load, but this year it is already the next level. In April this year, the JAKA Zu 20 with a load of 20 kg was just released, and the JAKA MAX, which was launched in the world at the fair, has jumped to 40 kg. This means that the cobot is no longer "afraid of weight", and has crossed the threshold of stability and accuracy once the load increases.

Synergy is also a big step forward. At this year's Industry Fair, two mobile robots danced in the sound of blue and white porcelain music, and their movements echoed each other. Insiders can see the doorway - such a coordinated beauty is fully applicable to the industrial field of dual-machine "moving bricks" - a photovoltaic panel, by two mobile robots linkage cooperation, you advance and I retreat, collaborative lateral movement or rotation, safe and rapid completion of the task, the test is the robot algorithm and software and hardware collaboration ability.

Compared with the main industrial robots of giants such as ABB and Fanuc in Europe, America and Japan, China's collaborative robots can be described as taking the edge. The former is like a fuel vehicle, and the latter is a new energy vehicle. Cobots are a new species, and it has only been 16 years since Universal Robots developed the world's first collaborative robot, UR. The biggest feature of this new species is that it does not close the "cage", does not need to set up fences like high-power, high-cost industrial robots, but advocates human-machine collaboration of "I carry water to you to water the garden", which is low-cost, safe and easy to use.

It will take time to catch up with the "fuel vehicles" of Europe, the United States and Japan, but China's collaborative robots are like new energy vehicles, which are expected to change lanes and overtake. Since 2018, domestic collaborative robots such as SIASUN, Aelite, Jieka, and Feixi have begun to be gradually applied to industrial fields such as precision device assembly, lightweight parts loading and unloading, testing, and tightening, showing their flexibility and flexibility far beyond industrial robots.

For example, Elite Robot brought the CP series modular collaborative palletizing workstation at this industry fair, which can meet the high demand of up to 2.6 meters, and the palletizing speed reaches 9 boxes per minute, which can replace the workload of about 4 workers, and the investment cost can be recovered in an average of 6 months.

With the continuous improvement of China's local collaborative robots in technology and supply chain collaboration, such as laboratory inspection and transfer, curved screen transmission and transfer, and Tianyan "brushing" (laser target maintenance of the reflective surface of China's radio astronomy telescope "China Sky Eye"), local collaborative robots have also begun to break through one by one.
For example, SIASUN is a multi-can collaborative robot that is good at arc welding, which can realize demonstration-free teaching welding due to the addition of 3D vision and sensors, and has been put into battle in many shipyards. It overcomes the limitations of human welders' professional process capabilities, can avoid welders "old eyes dizzy" or emotional work and other drawbacks, and its repeated positioning accuracy error is even as low as 0.02 mm. In a sense, it has surpassed humans.

According to industry statistics, in 2023, China's collaborative robot shipments will perform well, with a year-on-year growth rate of 21.5%. In the same year, a landmark event was a one-time order for 3,000 six-axis collaborative robots from Elite in China, which became the world's largest single order in the current collaborative robot market. This year, the demand of large domestic factories is becoming more and more urgent, such as the machine tool processing scene in the "fruit chain" factory involves material turnover and transportation, which is labor-intensive and easy to bump and wear, and is in urgent need of "machine substitution". At present, more than 200 mobile robots have been introduced into the benchmark factories of leading enterprises such as Foxconn, Luxshare, and Lens in China, and it is expected that there will be large-scale deployment next year and the year after tomorrow after the verification test.
Local cobots are competing to enter the factory, which will naturally lead to a price war. Previously, it was reported that a collaborative robot did not hesitate to enter the BYD factory at the price of materials. However, exhibitors such as Jieka, Zhongke Xinsong, and Eston told reporters that customers may be more sensitive to price at first, but in the industrial field, the reliability and yield of shipments are supreme. Tan Honghao, product director of Jieka mobile robots, said: "The final competition of collaborative robots is still based on precision and stability. "
