A research team has recently successfully developed the world's first bionic dexterous hand, the "F-TAC Hand," which combines full-hand high-resolution tactile perception with complete motor capabilities. The hand features high-resolution tactile sensors covering 70% of its palm area, with a spatial resolution of 0.1 millimeters and approximately 10,000 tactile pixels per square centimeter, offering perception accuracy far surpassing that of similar products on the market.

The team's innovative tactile solution uses 17 sensors arranged in six different configurations to mimic the structure of the human hand, balancing perception accuracy with motion flexibility. The hand is equipped with a new algorithm that dynamically plans actions based on the grasping space, object position, and shape, breaking away from traditional robotic operation modes that involve picking up objects one by one, thereby endowing the device with "autonomous thinking" capabilities. Experiments show that this biomimetic dexterous hand demonstrates significant adaptive advantages in error execution and collision-resistant scenarios, providing a new technical paradigm for fields such as medical rehabilitation and industrial precision operations.
