According to the news released by the Development and Construction Bureau of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone on July 25, the right to use the state-owned construction land for the industrial project of the 0106 plot in the YZ00-0606 block of Yizhuang New Town was won by Xiaomi Jingxi Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xiaomi Jingxi), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiaomi Communication Technology Co., Ltd., for about 842 million yuan. The site is the location of the second phase of the Xiaomi Auto plant, which is adjacent to the first phase of the factory that has been put into production, and the two factories are only separated by a road.

According to a source familiar with the second phase of the Xiaomi automobile factory construction project, there will be no holiday at the construction site during the Chinese New Year this year, and all plant construction will be capped and heating will begin, and it is expected that commissioning will begin in March and April next year, and the completion and delivery will be completed in mid-June.

The report also said that the construction plan of the second phase of the Xiaomi Auto factory involves four villages, and only Fangxindian Village has completed the vacancy, and there are still some residents in Xiaozhangwan Village, Zhouying Village and Yangxiudian Village who have not been vacated. There is also a bus stop on the factory grounds, and the timing of its relocation is uncertain.

According to the plan, Xiaomi Auto plans to build a vehicle manufacturing plant in two phases in the Beijing Economic Development Zone, with an annual production capacity of 150,000 units each. The second phase of the plant is scheduled to start in 2024 and be completed in 2025.
