On February 11, in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Water and Soil New Town, several technicians were busy debugging the robot products that had just come off the assembly line. Hundreds of spot welding robots and double-wristed robots that have been debugged are wrapped in white dust bags, waiting to be delivered to the factory.
In the production workshop, all 3 production lines are "full fire", and the scene of one of the production lines is quite a sci-fi blockbuster - a number of robot arms flying up and down rhythmically "cooperatively", it turns out that this is an unmanned production line, all assembled by robots to produce another batch of robots.
"This unmanned production line realizes fully automatic production, can run 24 hours a day, and implements standardized production." Liao Xudong, chairman of Kawasaki Chongqing, said that compared with the other two manual production lines in the workshop, the production capacity of the unmanned production line has increased by nearly 40%, and the efficiency of working hours has increased by more than 30%.
Liao Xudong said that in recent years, driven by the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, the manufacturing industry in Sichuan and Chongqing has accelerated the shift and upgrading, especially the upgrading of key industries such as new energy vehicles, electronics, and equipment manufacturing, and track switching, which has increased the demand for intelligent manufacturing and expanded the application scenarios of industrial robots.
Last year, Kawasaki Chongqing took the Sichuan-Chongqing market as the center and sold more than 1,000 key products such as dual-wrist robots, six-axis robots, and three-axis robots to the downstream of the industrial chain such as automobiles, laptops and mobile phone production, achieving an annual revenue of 230 million yuan. In addition, the double-wristed robot produced by Kawasaki Chongqing was also exported to South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries in large quantities last year, which started the overseas popularity of "Made in Chongqing" robots.
"The wide application of industrial robots is helping the traditional manufacturing industry to accelerate the intelligent and green transformation." Liao Xudong said that since the beginning of this year, Kawasaki Chongqing robot products have expanded new application scenarios, provided supporting facilities for pottery manufacturing enterprises in Rongchang District, and realized "robot operation" in the process of pottery glaze making.
He said that this year, Kawasaki Chongqing will continue to increase R&D investment, increase product application development, enrich robot product models, and promote the localization of industrial robots and technology transformation, so as to drive the development and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing in Chongqing's robot industry.
