Swiss-Mile was founded in April 2023 as a spin-off from the Robotic Systems Lab at ETH Zurich. The company focuses on the development of embodied intelligent robots, aiming to connect AI with the physical world to create truly autonomous robots that can help alleviate people from mundane household chores and daily tasks.

Swiss-Mile has already deployed its first autonomous wheeled-leg robots in collaboration with key clients, achieving early success in smart city and critical infrastructure security applications. These robots, powered by neural networks, have demonstrated impressive AI autonomy.

The company's current innovations include quadruped robots that can stand and walk on two legs, as well as wheeled robots capable of autonomous driving and package handling. Swiss-Mile is also focused on training its robots to adapt to and understand their environments, a crucial step toward making robots capable of serving as household assistants in the future.
