As one of the world's leading enterprises in the fields of industrial automation, informatization, and digital transformation, Rockwell Automation recently announced a deepening cooperation with Nvidia to accelerate the development of safer and more intelligent industrial AI mobile robots.
Earlier this year, Rockwell announced a partnership with Nvidia to expand the scale and scope of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in the manufacturing industry. At present, the cooperation between the two sides has expanded to the field of robotics. Deepening cooperation helps to expand the application depth of AI in the field of autonomous mobile robots (AMR), which can improve performance and efficiency. The AMR and production automation applications provided by Rockwell perfectly meet the needs of industrial customers for improving factory efficiency. The integration with the NVIDIA Isaac robot platform will help stimulate the potential that has not yet been fully unleashed in this field.
"The deepening cooperation with Nvidia has injected us with new vitality," said Ryan Gariepy, Chief Technology Officer of OTTO Motors, a subsidiary of Rockwell. "The spark collision between Rockwell's industrial AI expertise and Nvidia's AI and robotics technology is sure to create an exciting new generation of autonomous mobile robots."
Rockwell will further integrate NVIDIA Omniverse Cloud Application Programming Interface (API) with Simulate3D to provide users with data interoperability, real-time collaboration, and physics based visualization for designing, constructing, and operating industrial scale production system digital twins.
The recently released "Report on the Status of Intelligent Manufacturing" points out that AI has become the preferred choice for manufacturers to achieve business results. In fact, 83% of manufacturers plan to use GenAI in their operations in 2024. Thanks to this collaboration, Nvidia has become a Rockwell PartnerNetwork ™ The official members of Nvidia, while Rockwell customers can also rely on Nvidia's applications to enhance operational resilience, flexibility, and sustainability.
