On June 5th, it was announced that MediaTek has officially joined the Arm Total Design ecosystem project on COMPUTEX 2024, aiming to promote the performance and efficiency of AI applications in data centers, infrastructure systems, and telecommunications.
Vince Hu, Deputy General Manager of MediaTek, stated that the collaboration between MediaTek and Arm will enable customer product designs to meet the challenging workloads of AI applications and provide higher performance per watt.
In terms of data center business, MediaTek will closely collaborate with Arm to accelerate AI innovation from end-to-end to cloud by utilizing hybrid computing, AI, SerDes, Chiplets, and advanced packaging technologies.
Mohammed Awad, Senior Vice President of Arm, emphasized the impact of AI on the industry and believes that MediaTek's participation in Arm's comprehensive design ecosystem project will help build a sustainable, AI driven cloud data center, bringing excellent technology to the cloud infrastructure field.
MediaTek has significant advantages in SoC integration design capabilities, providing differentiated solutions and accelerating the product launch process through the Arm Neoverse computing subsystem (CSS).
MediaTek has adopted Arm IP in multiple successful product areas, including the upcoming Dimensity 9400 flagship smartphone processor, as well as the Armv9 Cortex-X925 CPU and Immortalis-G925 GPU solution.
In addition, MediaTek and Arm have also collaborated on edge device applications, covering multiple fields such as automobiles, Chromebook, smart homes, enterprise IoT, and industrial IoT.
