Grid Connected Power Generation Of Photovoltaic Base in China's Largest Single Coal Mining Subsidence Area

The State Energy Group announced today (5th) that the Blue Ocean Photovoltaic Power Station, the largest single photovoltaic base in coal mining subsidence areas in my country, has officially been connected to the grid for power generation. The project has an annual power generation of 5.7 billion kWh, which can meet the annual electricity needs of 2 million households.

The Blue Ocean Photovoltaic Power Station is located in Otog Front Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. The entire power station is equipped with about 5.9 million photovoltaic panels with a total installed capacity of 3 million kilowatts. It is a key supporting project of the national "West-to-East Power Transmission, Western Development" - the ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project from western Inner Mongolia to southern Shandong.
