Chinese Wisdom! My Country Put A Few Sheep in The Power Generation Base, And The Problem That Had Troubled It For A Long Time Was Easily Solved.

On the road of energy development in my country, there is such a story that demonstrates unique wisdom. my country has many large photovoltaic power generation bases, among which the Taratan Photovoltaic Power Plant in Qinghai is quite representative.

The climate here is dry and sandstorms are frequent. In order to effectively resist the invasion of sandstorms on solar panels, the staff came up with a way to plant grass in the photovoltaic power station. The grass planted is drought-resistant, cold-resistant, has strong adaptability and grows very quickly. They firmly fix the sand and soil, greatly reducing the obstruction of wind and sand on solar panels, and effectively ensuring the normal operation of photovoltaic power generation.

However, new problems followed. As the grass continued to grow, the overly high grass gradually blocked the sunlight from shining on the solar panels, which would undoubtedly seriously affect the power generation efficiency of the power station. Faced with this problem, the engineers were initially quite difficult. If the turf is dug out directly, the raging sandstorm will surely come back; if it is simply relying on manual pruning, it will not only consume a lot of manpower, but also the engineers are busy with many affairs every day and have no time to frequently weed.

Just when everyone was at a loss, an ingenious idea was born - raising sheep to weed. The staff first bought dozens of sheep from local villagers as a pilot, and the effect was surprisingly good. Therefore, the number of sheep was continuously increased. In order to make it easier for sheep to graze, engineers also deliberately adjusted the height of the solar panels from the original 50 cm to 120 cm, so that the sheep can freely shuttle between the photovoltaic panels and enjoy the grass that grows too high.

This measure brings many benefits. First, the flock of sheep is like a mobile "lawn mower", which can eat the grass on the high ground in time, so that the solar panels are always clean and fully absorb sunlight, and the power generation efficiency is significantly improved. Secondly, these sheep can be sold after they grow up eating grass, which adds additional economic benefits to the power station.

Moreover, the sheep's feces can provide fertilizer for the new grass, which promotes the continuous lush growth of the grassland and forms a virtuous ecological cycle. Finally, this method avoids the use of chemical herbicides and other weed control methods that may pollute the environment, and is more environmentally friendly. Photovoltaic power generation is a clean energy source. Now, with this ecological sheep farming model, it truly realizes the perfect combination of energy development and ecological protection.
