Foxlink's StarTech pushes AI robotics platform!Targeting $20 Billion Security Patrol Business Opportunity

Physical AI (Physical AI) applications are really coming! Foxlink's SYNC ROBOTIC is launching its AI robotics platform today, with its first application targeting the growth opportunities in the global smart inspection and security market. The company aims to ship 100 units per month next year, reaching 1,200 units for the whole year, and to promote the global market by adopting the "subscription system" model, with the first wave targeting the North American market.

StarTech Robotics takes "having a brain" as the core, combines the most advanced hardware platform and reinforcement learning technology, integrates speech and vision recognition, visual language modeling (VLM), synchronized localization and map construction (SLAM), path planning and navigation, and obstacle avoidance for human flow, and introduces high-performance security solutions for a variety of security scenarios, such as commercial buildings, large-scale shopping malls, factories, and public facilities. The company has introduced high-performance autonomous inspection applications for a wide range of security scenarios, including commercial buildings, large shopping malls, factories and public facilities.

StarTech International Chairman Shou-Fu Kuo said that StarTech International has launched Taiwan's first AI robot platform program, which is the first to be used in security inspection applications, with 24-hour autonomous patrol capabilities, especially for unattended or high-risk environments, such as commercial buildings, hypermarkets, factories and public facilities and other scenarios.

Guo Shoufu pointed out that the market demand for AI robots for security inspection is growing rapidly with the global trend toward automation, intelligence and labor shortage, according to Market Research statistics, the market size of inspection robots in 2024 is about $4.07 billion, and it is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 16.8% to 2030, which can be grown to20 billion dollars, the market size is huge.

Shou-Fu Guo shared that StarTech's AI robots are able to realize instant environmental awareness, abnormal event detection and notification through accurate sensors and AI algorithms, providing efficient and autonomous inspection applications, and adopting the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T N1 model to advance the robot's development, which also empowers the robots with highly efficient local computing and instant decision-making capabilities.

Guo Shoufu explained that StarTech AI robots will target five major applications: security inspection, intelligent manufacturing, climate prediction, film and television, and customer service. The first wave focuses on security inspection scenarios, including intelligent inspection carriers, modularized detection functions, and a one-stop Dashboard manipulation platform, which allows the flexible selection of quadrupedal robots, humanoid robots, or aerial cameras based on the characteristics of different scenarios, and realizes 24-hour autonomous inspections and scheduling.

Guo Shoufu emphasized that the total inspection time of Star Tech's AI robots can be increased by about 3 times, which reduces the chance of personnel being exposed to high-risk operating environments to zero. Taking offshore wind power inspection as an example, the introduction of AI quadrupedal robots to conduct regular inspection can effectively reduce the number of times that personnel go to sea, and in the future, it can be expanded to various application scenarios, such as intelligent manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, intelligent parks, and community security management.
