In the underground parking lots of major shopping malls and office buildings in Beijing, a new energy vehicle charging changes are quietly underway. A charging robot called "AO" has become the new favorite of new energy vehicle owners with its unique appearance and service mode.

Charging robot "O" is coming! Thousands of charging robots will be deployed to serve Beijing's new energy vehicles within the year.

By simply scanning the code and placing an order, car owners can easily summon the owl-like robot assistant. While car owners are enjoying the fun of shopping or working upstairs, "O" is busy shuttling around the parking lot, charging their cars.

In the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center, the reporter witnessed the work process of "O".A purple and yellow robot slowly drove to a new energy vehicle, skillfully opened the charging cover, and accurately charging gun into the car. This scene marks a new change in the way new energy vehicles are charged.

The appearance of "O" effectively solves the problem of insufficient charging piles and occupied charging spaces in parking lots. Car owners no longer need to look around for charging piles, but can park their cars in any parking space and wait for the robot to come to them. This shift from "car looking for pile" to "pile looking for car" undoubtedly brings great convenience to new energy vehicle owners.

This robot not only looks small and exquisite, only one meter high, but its chassis power is strong, can easily climb more than 20 degrees of steep slopes. In the underground parking lot, it can drive autonomously at a maximum speed of 5 km / h, and has intelligent obstacle avoidance function. "A-O" also features a fast charging mode that adds 150 kilometers of range to the car in just 15 minutes.

In addition to the manual driving version, "O" has also launched an autonomous driving version. This robot with L4-level self-driving function is loaded with advanced sensors such as LIDAR, and can arrive at the designated parking space autonomously without manual operation. The application of this innovative technology further enhances the robot's work efficiency and safety.

At present, "AO Charging" mobile charging robot has been successfully applied in more than ten office buildings and shopping malls, such as Chaoyang Hopscotch and Global Trade Center. The charging price is the same as that of the charging piles in the parking lot, which has been warmly welcomed by the majority of new energy vehicle owners. According to the plan, this year the robot will be put into use in 150 parking lots in Beijing 1000, to provide more car owners with convenient and efficient charging services.
