Boston Dynamics has released a new demo video about the humanoid robot Atlas, showcasing reinforcement learning strategies developed using motion capture suites.

As you can see, the humanoid robot Atlas can perform smooth walking, running, crawling, breakdancing, somersaults, and more.

The demo was developed by Boston Dynamics in partnership with the RAI Institute, the Institute for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence founded by former Boston Dynamics CEO Mark Lebert.

According to a previous report by IT House, Boston Dynamics announced in April last year that it would retire its hydraulic robots and switch to the field of electric robots, and a new generation of Atlas was born. The new version of the Atlas has longer limbs, a straighter back, and a head that can be rotated as needed. No wires are visible on the robot, and its "face" has a built-in ring light.
