Jassy revealed that Amazon's planned capital expenditure this year is as high as $100 billion, most of which will be used for AI-related projects, including data centers, network equipment, AI hardware, and generative AI service capabilities.
At present, Amazon has launched a number of AI products, such as the self-developed large model Nova series, the self-developed AI chip Trainium, consumer-oriented shopping chatbots, Bedrock, a platform for serving third-party models, and a new version of Alexa that has been fully upgraded to a generative AI assistant.

Since taking over as CEO in 2021, Jassy has continuously promoted Amazon's business streamlining and cost control. Between 2022 and 2023, the company laid off more than 27,000 people. In 2024, Amazon continued to implement small-scale layoffs and shut down several unprofitable projects, such as the "try before you buy" clothing service and offline ultra-fast delivery store pilots.
In addition, Jassy also opened an internal channel called "Anti-bureaucracy Mailbox" to collect employee feedback. So far, the mailbox has received nearly 1,000 emails, and the company has completed more than 375 organizational and process optimization adjustments based on them.
