Hot press machines process workpieces that require heat and pressure for curing, bonding, or forming. Their applications cover a wide range of products in electronics, mechanical equipment, chemicals, and energy.

1. Workpieces in the Electronics and Electrical Field

In printed circuit board production, hot press machines are used for laminating multilayer PCBs. Core boards, prepreg sheets, and copper foils are stacked according to design, and the hot press melts and cures the prepreg to form high-precision multilayer boards. They are also used for rigid-flex boards and flexible circuit boards, especially for pressing stiffener areas and bonding flexible materials to rigid substrates.

For electronic component packaging, hot press machines handle the bonding of heat dissipation substrates in power semiconductors and the forming of plastic housings for small relays and connectors. In energy storage, they are used for shaping prismatic and pouch lithium battery cells and for fixing terminal posts in power battery modules.

2. Workpieces in the Mechanical Equipment Field

Hot press machines are widely used in composite material forming. Fiber-reinforced composite products, such as carbon fiber automotive covers, aerospace structural parts, FRP pipes, and storage tanks, require hot press curing and forming. In furniture and wood-based panel production, they are used for laminating melamine-impregnated paper and fireproof boards, as well as edge banding and surface laminating of solid wood composite flooring and wooden doors.

For engineering plastics and rubber, hot press machines form thick-walled plastic parts and cure silicone keypads, rubber seals, and damping pads. They are also applied to hot forming of thin metal sheets, including some automotive sheet metal parts.

For these applications, custom hot-pressing dies, heating plates, and positioning fixtures are often required. Hansheng Automation can provide precision machining for such non-standard components according to customer drawings.

3. Workpieces in the Chemical and Energy Field

In electrical insulation, hot press machines are used to cure and shape epoxy glass cloth laminates, phenolic resin boards, and various insulating gaskets. In new energy and photovoltaic production, they process graphite bipolar plates for fuel cells and bond photovoltaic module backsheets. In chemical anticorrosion and thermal insulation, they form PTFE linings and phenolic insulation boards.
