Vacuum sealers are used to store bagged food. They extend shelf life and work well with refrigerator storage. During use, the machine may fail to pull a vacuum, or it may pull a vacuum but not seal. Check the faults by type below. If non-standard parts such as vacuum chamber seal bases, heater bar mounts, or silicone bar pressure plates are worn and need replacement to site dimensions, we can custom machine them according to customer drawings. Hansheng Automation supports single-piece and small-batch delivery.

The vacuum sealer does not pull a vacuum

If the vacuum pump runs for a long time, the pump oil may be low or poor quality. Replace the vacuum pump oil and avoid long continuous use.

Check the pipes for leaks. Even if there is no obvious leak, replace the pipes once a year.

If the solenoid valve fails, do not handle it yourself. Ask a technician for help.

Check whether the microswitch is in place. The microswitch is between the lid and the lower chamber. Adjusting its position can solve the problem.

If the release valve cannot close, air will leak. Check the release valve for wear or objects stuck inside.

If the controller fails and the machine is under warranty, contact the manufacturer for repair.

If the vacuum pump fails, ask a technician to check it. This type of problem is usually hard to solve on your own.

Check whether the air bag is leaking. Replace it with a new one if it leaks.

Check whether the distance between the heating bar and the silicone bar in the vacuum chamber is too small. If it is too small, the bag mouth is pinched or squeezed during vacuum pulling, which affects air extraction.

Clean dirt and foreign objects when using the vacuum sealer to avoid affecting normal operation.

Check the bag

Material: use a suitable bag. An 18-silk textured bag can be sealed normally, while aluminum foil bags and gusseted bags over 18 silk cannot be sealed.
Placement: check whether the bag is placed correctly in the vacuum chamber. Do not let the machine press on items inside the vacuum bag.
Damage: check whether the bag has air leak holes. Sharp or pointed food may puncture the bag. Replace the bag if needed.

Check the sponge bar

If the machine pulls a vacuum for a long time but does not seal, press down harder on the machine panel and watch whether the vacuum bag air extraction changes. If more force allows sealing, the sponge bar may be the problem. Remove the sponge bar and flip it over, or replace it with a new one.

Notes

When the machine is not in use, avoid closing the lid frequently. Long-term compression can deform the sponge bar.

For machines that use a silicone bar, the silicone bar is more durable than a sponge bar and does not deform easily.

Beyond vacuum sealer seal bases, heater bar mounts, and pressure plates, our custom precision parts machining capability also covers yacht precision parts, RC car precision parts, tobacco packaging machinery parts, and filling machinery parts. Hansheng Automation can also machine non-standard parts for food packaging machinery, pharmaceutical packaging equipment, printing machinery, and medical devices according to drawings, supporting drawing-based customization and small-batch delivery.
