Common Types of Lubricating Oils for Reducers
Conventional reducer generally uses mineral oil and golden lubricating oil (referred to as butter) and other industrial lubricating oils, mineral oil grease fluid is good, easy to maintain viscosity at high temperature, viscosity range, mineral oil is a natural oil extracted from petroleum, has good wear resistance, suitable for some medium and low-speed gear transmission lubrication, but it should be noted that mineral oil oxidation stability is low, easy to produce deterioration and precipitation, short service life, more suitable for general working environment, butter has good viscosity and temperature characteristics, Extremely high extreme pressure wear resistance, suitable for slow, low-noise, heavy-duty, full-load and other gear transmissions.
For example, electronic equipment, motors, etc., synthetic gear oil can be selected for gear reducers with high precision, high speed and heavy load, such as construction machinery, agricultural machinery, etc., mechanical oil can be selected for gear reducers that do not require high precision, low speed and light load, and anti-wear hydraulic oil can be used for gear reducers with high precision, high speed and heavy loads.
How to Determine Lubricating Oil Quantity and Type
Because different gear reducers, different installation directions, different models, the amount of lubricating oil is also different, large reducers due to the large fuselage, gear operation, so the lubricating oil is much more than the small reducer, so it is necessary to fill the lubricating oil according to the size of the reducer body purchased.
If the precision reducer works in a heavy load environment, you need to choose a gear oil with high extreme pressure and anti-wear performance, if the reducer works in a high temperature environment, you need to choose a gear oil with high high temperature resistance, if it is used in a low temperature environment, you need to choose a lubricating oil with antifreeze function, and if there is no special requirement, that is, you can choose a general lubricating oil.
Note: The first oil change must be carried out after working for about 300 hours (gear break-in period), carefully rinse the gearbox with a suitable cleaning agent during the oil change, do not mix synthetic oil and mineral oil, test up to once every three years, replace the bearing grease, replace the mineral oil, and replace the oil seal on the output shaft according to different conditions.
