1, Technical Features

RV reducer: Transmission is achieved through multi-stage reduction, generally composed of the front stage of planetary gear reducer and the rear stage of cycloidal pinwheel reducer, with a large number of components;

Harmonic drive: Transmission of motion through elastic deformation of flexible wheels, mainly composed of three core components: flexible wheels, steel wheels, and wave generators. Compared with RV and other precision reducers, the materials, volume, and weight used in harmonic reducers are significantly reduced.

2, Product performance

RV reducer: large volume, high load capacity, and high stiffness;

Harmonic drive: small size, high transmission ratio, and high accuracy.

3, Application scenarios

RV reducers are generally used in heavy load positions such as the base, arms, and shoulders of multi joint robots;

Harmonic drives are mainly used in robot forearms, wrists, or hands.

4, Terminal field

Heavy load robots equipped with RV reducers are commonly used in industries such as automobiles, transportation, and port terminals;

Robots with a load of less than 30kg composed of harmonic reducers are commonly used in industries such as 3C, semiconductors, food, injection molding, molds, and healthcare.
