Cold chain equipment in a food processing plant covers four stages: pre-cooling, low-temperature storage, quick freezing, and supporting systems. The list spans raw material pretreatment, finished product storage, and cold chain delivery. Hansheng Automation can machine replacement parts for this equipment, including conveyor components, door hardware, and rack fittings, to customer drawings.
Pre-Cooling Equipment
Vacuum Pre-Coolers
Vacuum pre-coolers rapidly lower the core temperature of fruits, vegetables, and fresh-cut products. This suppresses respiration and preserves freshness. They are mostly used in fresh produce pretreatment workshops.
Cold Air Pre-Cooling Rooms
Cold air pre-cooling rooms use circulating low-temperature air to cool boxed meat, poultry, and batch seafood evenly. Throughput is large and temperature stability is strong.
Plate Pre-Coolers
Plate pre-coolers use contact heat exchange to cool packaged prepared foods and ready-to-eat semi-finished products quickly.
Low-Temperature Storage Equipment
Fresh-Keeping Cold Rooms (0 to 8 C)
Fixed fresh-keeping cold rooms store fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and poultry semi-finished products, and dairy raw materials and finished goods in batches. Mobile fresh-keeping equipment includes refrigerated work tables, air curtain cabinets, and deli refrigerated cabinets for temporary holding during processing or display.
Freezer Storage Rooms (-18 C and Below)
Pipe-rack freezer rooms use pipe heat exchange and have lower energy consumption. They suit long-term storage of frozen raw materials. Fan-type freezer rooms rely on cold air circulation and cool down faster. They suit batch turnover of frozen goods. Commercial freezing equipment includes upright and chest freezers and low-temperature refrigerated cabinets for temporary small-batch storage on the shop floor.
Quick Freezing Equipment
Tunnel Freezers
Tunnel freezers support continuous batch production. They suit standardized products such as diced vegetables, meat skewers, and seafood blocks. Output is stable and freezing efficiency is high.
Spiral Freezers
Spiral freezers take up little floor space. They suit multi-category, small to medium batch processing. They are often used for quick freezing prepared foods and bakery semi-finished products.
Plate Freezers
Plate freezers use contact heat exchange to provide even, fast freezing for packaged foods and prepared dishes.
Liquid Nitrogen and CO2 Freezers
These units freeze at ultra-low temperature. They preserve the cell structure and freshness of high-end seafood and ready-to-eat sashimi to the greatest extent possible.
Supporting Systems
Cold Chain Hardware
Cold room doors include electric insulated doors and rapid roll-up doors. These maintain sealing and support efficient entry and exit. Conveying and storage items include refrigerated conveyor belts, food-grade cold storage trays, forklift insulation covers, and temporary cold storage racks. Ice-making equipment includes flake ice machines and cube ice machines for preserving seafood and fresh products.
Temperature and Humidity Monitoring
Online temperature and humidity recorders and cold chain data platforms upload and store cold room data in real time. Audible and visual alarm devices trigger warnings when temperature or humidity goes outside the set range.
Refrigeration System Support
Automatic hot gas defrost and electric heating defrost units keep heat exchange efficiency and operation stable. Refrigerant storage cylinders and charging equipment are used for routine system maintenance. Refrigerant work must be done by qualified professionals to avoid leakage risk. Backup refrigeration units cover temporary cooling needs when the main unit fails.
Emergency Equipment
Mobile refrigerated cabinets and portable refrigeration units provide temporary fresh storage when equipment breaks down.
Maintenance and Replacement Parts
Regular maintenance should cover door seals, conveyor belts, evaporator coils, defrost systems, and monitoring sensors. Worn door seals and dirty coils increase energy consumption and cause temperature fluctuation. When replacement parts are needed, Hansheng Automation can machine non-standard components such as door hardware, rack fittings, and conveyor parts to drawing.
Our precision custom machining capability is not limited to cold storage equipment. Hansheng Automation also produces parts for filling machinery, food processing equipment, and printing machinery, along with precision components for yachts and RC cars. From single parts to small batch runs, we machine to customer drawings and deliver parts for assembly.
