What are the options for connecting a cam indexer to a motor reducer?

When selecting the connection method between the cam indexer and the motor reducer, are you struggling with which connection method is more suitable? Today, I take this opportunity to introduce the relevant connection methods in detail, hoping to be helpful to you.

1, Synchronous belt pulley connection. Advantage 1: The input shaft of the cam divider is a standard shaft, which facilitates the cam divider manufacturer to stock up in large quantities, shorten delivery time, and even have stock available, making it convenient for customers. Advantage 2: Easy assembly, disassembly, and maintenance. The motor reducer can be freely assembled on the left or right end of the cam divider. Advantage three, synchronous belt wheels have low cost and are easy to purchase. Disadvantage: It is not recommended to use synchronous pulleys for cam dividers with heavy loads or very fast speeds even with small loads. Due to the fact that the synchronous belt pulley is ultimately a soft connection, and the power demand of the input shaft of the cam divider varies regularly, transmission lag can cause unstable transmission.

Generally, models 80DF or below, 80DT, and 90DA can use synchronous pulley transmission, while models 110DF, 110DT, 110DA or above are recommended to use rigid connections. If the input shaft speed is higher than 150 revolutions per minute, regardless of the model size, it is recommended to use a rigid connection.

2, Gearbox connection. It is the connection method where the input shaft of the cam divider is directly inserted into the output shaft hole of the reducer. Advantages: There is no transmission lag phenomenon, making it particularly suitable for heavy-duty and large-sized cam gear transmissions, or transmissions with particularly fast input shafts. Disadvantages: 1. inconvenient maintenance and disassembly; 2. Before placing an order, it is necessary to confirm whether the motor reducer is on the left or right end of the cam divider. Once confirmed, the finished product cannot be changed after production

3, Belt pulley connection. It is strictly prohibited to use it, as there may be relative motion between the belt and the wheel, which is not conducive to the control of the input shaft motion of the cam divider.

4, Coupling connection. This connection can be used, but it should be noted that: 1. The concentricity of the shafts at both ends of the coupling should be good; 2. Pay attention to the rotation direction of the cam divider, as the power connected to the coupling often relies on another power on the machine, and the rotation direction may not be changed. Only by changing the rotation direction of the cam divider can customer requirements be met. The cam divider has a distinction between left and right rotation.

5, Chain connection. The appearance of the chain gives the impression of being rough, and there is a lot of noise during operation. A small cam divider is more suitable for using a synchronous belt, while a large cam divider is considered a soft connection, so the chain is basically not suitable for connecting a cam divider to a motor reducer.
