Silicone heat-shrink tubing extrusion equipment is specialized machinery used to produce silicone heat-shrink tubing. The following is a detailed introduction to this equipment.

I. Equipment Structure

Silicone heat-shrink tubing extrusion equipment mainly consists of the following parts:

Single-screw extruder: It uses a horizontal single-screw design with a diameter of 45 mm. The screw length-to-diameter ratio is 12:1, the compression ratio is 2.5:1, and it has a single-start thread with variable pitch and variable depth. This design helps ensure uniformity and stability of the material during extrusion.

Extrusion die: The die is made of imported S136 steel specially used for extrusion dies, which offers good thermal stability, ensuring die durability and precision. The die, head, feeding device, and screw can all be easily disassembled for maintenance. This also allows interchangeable extrusion dies for silicone tubes of different shapes and profiles.

For equipment builders and mold maintenance teams, Hansheng Automation can machine custom extrusion dies, screw elements, feed housings, and interchangeable die heads from customer drawings in single pieces or small batches, with materials and heat treatment selected for thermal stability and wear resistance.

High-temperature platinum vulcanization system: This system is used to vulcanize solid silicone rubber at high temperature, thereby extruding silicone heat-shrink tubing.

II. Working Principle

The working principle of silicone heat-shrink tubing extrusion equipment is as follows:

Solid silicone rubber raw material is fed into the feeding device. Through the extrusion and shearing action of the screw, the material is evenly mixed and conveyed forward.

Driven by the screw, the material enters the extrusion die. The shape of the die determines the final shape of the silicone heat-shrink tubing.

After being extruded through the die, the silicone heat-shrink tubing is vulcanized in the high-temperature platinum vulcanization system, giving it the required physical and chemical properties.

Finally, the vulcanized silicone heat-shrink tubing is cooled and collected.

III. Equipment Features

Silicone heat-shrink tubing extrusion equipment has the following features:

Efficient and stable: It uses advanced single-screw extrusion technology and a high-temperature platinum vulcanization process, ensuring high production efficiency and stable product quality.

Easy to maintain: The die, head, feeding device, and screw can all be easily disassembled for routine maintenance and care.

Flexible and diverse: It can achieve single-color, two-color, and three-color extrusion, and can also co-extrude with different silicone materials with other functional properties, meeting diverse production needs.

Good compactness: The extruded silicone heat-shrink tubing has high density and good physical and chemical properties.

IV. Equipment Applications

Silicone heat-shrink tubing extrusion equipment is widely used in electronics, electrical appliances, communications, automotive, aerospace, and other fields. It is used to produce silicone heat-shrink tubing in various specifications to meet the insulation, protection, sealing, and other performance requirements of different industries.

In summary, silicone heat-shrink tubing extrusion equipment is efficient, stable, easy to maintain, and flexible. It can meet the production needs of different industries for silicone heat-shrink tubing.
