A multi-station automatic drilling and tapping machine that does not advance or retract often points to three areas: the spring, the V-belt, and the coupling. Stop the machine and cut power before checking.

1. Spring too loose

Adjustment

Adjust the spring tension. If the spring does not return, replace it with a new one.

2. V-belt not tight enough or damaged

Check and replace

Check V-belt tension. If it is not tight enough, the machine may fail to advance or retract. Replace the belt if it is damaged.

3. Coupling overheating and worn elastic ring

Check and replace

Check whether the coupling overheats. Check the elastic ring for excessive wear. Replace the elastic ring or coupling if worn.

If the spring seat, coupling, elastic ring, or belt pulley is worn, we can machine replacement parts from customer drawings, in single pieces or small batches. Hansheng Automation works to drawing dimensions and assembly clearances.

What a tapping machine does

A tapping machine cuts internal threads, screws, or threads on the inner surface of through holes or blind holes in machine housings, equipment end faces, nuts, flanges, and other parts.

Our precision parts machining service is not limited to tapping machines. Hansheng Automation can machine custom parts from drawings for food machinery, medical devices, printing equipment, and textile machinery. We also cover yacht precision fittings, RC car structural parts, and tobacco packaging machinery parts. Single pieces and small batches are both available, with attention to material, tolerance, surface finish, and assembly fit.
