Precision planetary reducer oil use knowledge and skills

Many mechanical equipment rely on oil for power or to improve performance, and the same applies to gearboxes. Because they also require oil to operate, the role of oil is significant. However, the oil used for different models of equipment varies greatly, and the oil also varies depending on the temperature.

Suitable oil can be selected based on the box of the precision reducer (open or closed), operating load, operating environment, and ambient temperature. Gear oil is divided into heavy-duty and medium load gear oil; Conventional gear oil; Semi synthetic gear oil, low temperature and high temperature resistant gear oil, etc.

The new gear reducer has lubricating grease, but it needs to be replaced every six months. When refueling, the ventilation cap on the upper part of the base can be tightened. When the oil is discharged, loosen the oil drain plug at the bottom of the base, and then discharge the dirty oil. Generally, the manufacturer does not add oil to the gearbox when it leaves the factory. The swing pin gear reducer normally uses oil pool lubrication, and the oil level can be maintained between the oil windows. When working conditions are poor and the ambient temperature is high, circulating lubrication can be used. Similarly, for vertical gearboxes, special attention should be paid to the oil pump not being short of oil. Long term oil shortage can easily cause problems with the parts of the gearbox. Replace the new oil 100 hours before refueling, clean the dirty oil before continuous operation, and replace it with an 8-hour working system every 6 months. If the working conditions are not good, the oil change time can be appropriately shortened. Practice has shown that the gearbox Frequent cleaning and oil changes play an important role in extending the service life of long life reducers, so lubricating oil should be regularly replenished during use.

After the first refueling and production operation of the gear planetary reducer for half a month, the oil in the box should be drained and new oil should be added to the center line of the oil window. It is strictly prohibited to mix new and old oil. During weekly and monthly inspections of the cycloidal and worm gear reducers, observe the oil window to ensure that the oil level is at the center line of the oil window. Before refueling, clean the impurities on the reducer's dummy end cover. During the refueling process, it is strictly prohibited for foreign objects to enter the planetary gear reducer box to wear the reducer's gears and worm gears, reducing the lifespan of the reducer. After refueling, clean the impurities on the reducer's upper end cover and cover them in a timely manner. Fill the joint between the upper end cover and the reducer with sealant to prevent oil leakage. There should be a seal under the upper end cover to prevent oil leakage. The pad is tightly integrated with the gearbox.

A reducer plays a role in matching speed and transmitting torque between the prime mover and the working machine or actuator. A reducer is a relatively precise mechanical device used to reduce speed and increase torque. It can be divided into single-stage and multi-stage reducers according to different transmission stages. As a gear transmission device enclosed in a rigid shell, a reducer is commonly used as a reduction transmission device between the prime mover and the working machine or actuator. It plays a role in matching speed and transmitting torque between the prime mover and the working machine or actuator, and is widely used in modern machinery.
