Proper operation and regular maintenance are important when processing traditional Chinese medicine with an ultrafine pulverizer. The following precautions can help improve operating safety, processing stability, and equipment service life.
Ensure proper grounding.
For operator safety, the machine must be connected to a reliable grounding system before operation.
Keep the material dry.
The material should be sufficiently dry before pulverization. Wet, sticky, or high-fat herbal materials may affect grinding performance and should only be processed when the machine is designed for such applications.
Control the feed volume.
Do not fill the grinding chamber beyond approximately half of its rated capacity. Excessive feeding can reduce grinding efficiency and increase the motor load.
Set an appropriate operating time.
For common herbal materials, a short pulverizing cycle may be sufficient, while harder materials may require a longer cycle. The actual processing time should follow the equipment manufacturer's recommendations and material test results.
Avoid prolonged continuous operation.
Small pulverizers should not be operated continuously for extended periods. Allow sufficient cooling intervals between cycles to prevent excessive bearing and motor temperatures. The specific maximum operating time should follow the equipment specifications.
Never operate with the cover open.
Make sure the upper cover is securely closed before starting the machine. Never activate the power switch while the cover is open.
Inspect wear parts regularly.
Check components such as carbon brushes and blades periodically. Replace severely worn parts to maintain stable grinding performance.
Check blade fasteners.
Inspect the blade mounting screws regularly and make sure they remain securely tightened. Loose fasteners can cause vibration or damage during high-speed operation.
Clean the machine after daily operation.
After completing daily processing, allow the machine to run without feeding material for approximately two minutes when permitted by the equipment design. This can help remove residual powder from the grinding chamber. After stopping the machine, open the cover only after the rotor has come to a complete stop, inspect the internal components, remove remaining material, and close the cover properly.
For customers requiring replacement or customized components for traditional Chinese medicine processing equipment, Hansheng Automation can provide precision machining according to customer drawings and technical specifications, supporting the manufacture of non-standard shafts, blades, housings, brackets, and other mechanical parts.
