Operating precautions for screen printing machines
Screen printing machines print on non-woven fabrics, plastic bags, cartons, paper boxes, glass, leather, and other substrates. During use, observe the following points to maintain stable operation and consistent print quality.
Check registration marks frequently
During printing, the screen frame moves continuously. Impact or vibration can cause slight displacement between the screen and the frame, which affects registration accuracy. Check registration marks regularly. Make adjustments as soon as any shift is detected.
Inspect sample sheets regularly
Plastic film fragments or dried ink skin may stick to the screen and block the mesh, causing missing prints. If ink viscosity is too high, color may become uneven or lighter than expected. When missing prints appear, wipe the screen with a clean cloth to remove debris. If color is uneven, stop the machine, dilute the ink with solvent, and clean the image area to prevent ink seepage or clogging.
Stack semi-finished products neatly
Improper stacking of paper or other substrates can cause upward bowing. This makes sheet feeding difficult and leads to frequent paper jams. When stacking, allow the edges to droop downward so the sheets remain flat. If the stack is uneven, use hard cardboard to level it. Adjust pile height regularly with the feeder control to ensure smooth sheet transfer.
Pay attention to dryer blades
Dryer blades may become damaged after long-term use and fall out of sync with the main machine. This causes printed sheets to become disordered on the rack. If disorder occurs, remove the printed sheets from the bottom of the disordered area immediately to prevent ink surfaces from contacting each other and causing damage. Inspect and maintain dryer blades regularly.
Other precautions
Follow the machine's operating procedures. Avoid improper use that may cause equipment damage or safety incidents. Routine maintenance should include cleaning, inspection of worn parts, and replacement of damaged components. Keep the working environment dry, ventilated, and clean. Avoid excessive humidity, high temperature, and dust.
