The core points of the operating procedure are below.

1. Before startup

Check that air supply pressure is stable at 0.6 to 0.8 MPa.

Make sure the conveyor has no debris and the photoelectric sensors are clean.

Load cartons that meet the specification. Length, width, and height tolerance should be within ±2 mm.

Prepare enough hot melt adhesive. EVA adhesive with a melting point of 180°C is recommended.

2. Standard operating steps

2.1 Startup sequence

Turn on the main power switch. It is usually on the right side of the machine.

Start the touch screen on the control panel and wait for the system self-check to finish.

Press the preheat button. The hot melt adhesive machine needs 15 to 20 minutes to preheat.

2.2 Parameter settings

Sealing speed: set 40 to 60 cartons per minute for regular products.

Flap folding pressure: adjust according to carton thickness, usually 2 to 4 kg/cm².

Glue amount: recommended 0.8 to 1.2 g per meter of glue line.

3. Key safety operations

The emergency stop button must remain easy to trigger. Test it once a month.

Disconnect power before adjusting the robot arm stroke.

Turn off the vacuum generator before clearing a carton jam.

4. Daily maintenance

Clean adhesive residue from the cutter every day. Use a dedicated cleaning agent.

Add food-grade grease to the guide rails every week. Recommended grade: ISO VG68.

Replace the vacuum filter element every 500 hours.

5. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible cause Solution
Suction cup does not pick up the carton Vacuum level too low Check pipe sealing. Make sure vacuum pressure is ≥ -85 kPa.
Weak seal Glue temperature too low Raise the hot melt adhesive machine temperature to 175 to 185°C.
Carton skews Guide wheel offset Use a feeler gauge to adjust the spacing between guide wheels on both sides. Keep the error within 0.5 mm.

For packaging machinery builders and line integrators, Hansheng Automation machines non-standard parts from customer drawings, including guide wheels, suction cup mounts, sealing jaws, and changeover components. Single-piece and small-batch orders are supported.
