Operate a carton palletizer in three stages: pre-start checks, formal operation, and shutdown maintenance. Safety protection should be in place throughout. If the site needs replacement non-standard parts such as suction cup mounting bases, gripper connectors, or conveyor rails, we can custom machine them according to customer drawings. Hansheng Automation supports single-piece and small-batch delivery.
Pre-start preparation and checks
Safety check: confirm that no people are lingering around the equipment and no unrelated objects are present. Check whether the emergency stop button rebounds normally and whether the safety fence is intact and free of damage.
Equipment inspection: check hydraulic or pneumatic lines for leakage. Check the conveyor belt and robot arm joints for jamming or abnormal noise. Confirm that pallets and cartons are placed at the designated loading positions as required.
Parameter confirmation: check whether the current program's stacking parameters, including cartons per layer, total layers, and carton size, match the cartons to be palletized. Adjust the suction cup or gripper spacing to fit the carton type.
No-load test: start no-load mode to test whether the mechanical motion is smooth. Confirm that sensors and limit switches trigger normally.
Formal operation
Loading and start: place an empty pallet in the designated pallet magazine. Convey cartons to be palletized to the palletizing station in the loading sequence, then trigger the automatic start button.
Operation monitoring: observe the equipment throughout the run. Watch for carton jams or offset. If an abnormality appears, press the emergency stop button immediately and troubleshoot.
Stack pattern adjustment: if cartons are placed off position, stop the machine and manually adjust the suction cup pickup position. Do not reach into the machine during operation.
Finished stack transfer: after a full stack is completed, the equipment automatically conveys the pallet to the unload station. A forklift or conveyor line moves it away.
Shutdown and daily maintenance
Normal shutdown: after completing the day's palletizing task, press the stop button. Wait until the equipment stops completely, then turn off the main power and clean carton debris around the equipment.
Regular maintenance: add lubricant to mechanical guide rails and joint bearings every week. Check belt tension and suction cup sealing performance every month. Calibrate sensor accuracy every quarter.
Emergency shutdown: if an equipment fault or safety hazard occurs, press the main emergency stop switch immediately and report to the equipment administrator. Do not disassemble or repair the machine without authorization.
Safety precautions
Do not cross the safety fence while the equipment is running. Do not put hands or tools into the mechanical motion area.
Non-operators must not change equipment program parameters without authorization.
In thunderstorm weather, cut off the main power supply and take lightning protection measures.
Beyond suction cups, grippers, and conveyor parts for carton palletizers, our custom precision parts machining capability also covers tobacco packaging machinery parts, filling machinery parts, yacht precision parts, and RC car precision parts. Hansheng Automation can also machine non-standard parts for food packaging machinery, printing machinery, and medical devices according to drawings, supporting drawing-based customization and small-batch delivery.
