1,Structure of working condition: If the working condition is turntable, it is recommended to choose DF, DT or DA cam indexer; if the working condition is shaft connection, it is recommended to choose DF/S cam indexer.
2, The number of workstations: if there are 1, 2, 3 workstations, it is recommended to choose DF cam indexer; 4 or more workstations, you can choose other styles of cam indexer.
3, Whether the end face of the output shaft needs to be hollow: DT, DA cam indexer is used when the hollow hole is fixed, and DFH cam indexer is used when the hollow hole rotates synchronously with the turntable. DA and DT are hollow, which can be threaded with air pipe, etc. DT is thinner than DF, DA is thinner than DT, DA is more suitable to be installed in narrow spaces, and the torque of the same type DA can withstand loads is larger than that of DT, but DA is only suitable to be installed with the output end facing upwards. The DA divider is only suitable for installation with the output end facing up.
4, Turntable Diameter: Generally speaking, the diameter of the turntable is less than 5 times of the cam indexer model. Therefore, the accuracy and service life of the indexer can be better ensured. For example, for 80DF cam indexer, it is recommended that the diameter of the turntable is less than 80 * 5=400mm.
5, Load: This is a very important indicator, the load refers to all the weight acting on the cam indexer, including the turntable, workpiece, fixture, and so on.
6, Speed: the faster the speed of the cam indexer input shaft, the greater the inertia generated, the greater the need for separator type. Professional engineers are required to comprehensively calculate the torque value through the torque calculation formula according to the diameter of the turntable, load weight, and rotational speed. Considering the safety factor, it is necessary to enlarge the model size of the indexer by 1.5 times, and then find out the model size of the divider through the torque value table in the data.
The choice of cam indexer model size is very important, so when selecting the model, we must find a reliable manufacturer, not the bigger the better model, not the smaller the better, suitable for their own working conditions demand just right.
