Bag making machine speed mainly depends on machine type and bag specifications. Ordinary vest bag machines usually run at 80 to 150 bags/min. High-speed models can exceed 300 bags/min.
Common bag making machine types and speed ranges
Vest bag making machines: standard models run at 80 to 150 bags/min for 20 to 40 μm thickness. High-speed models run at 200 to 350 bags/min and usually need an automatic feeding system.
Flat bag making machines: normal speed is 60 to 120 bags/min. Seal edge length has a large effect on speed.
Stand-up bag making machines: three-side seal models run at 40 to 80 bags/min. The process is more complex, so speed is lower.
Key parameters that affect speed
Material thickness: PE film below 30 μm runs 20% to 30% faster than 50 μm film.
Bag size: small bags (20 x 30 cm) run more than 50% faster than large bags (50 x 80 cm).
Control system: servo motor models run 15% to 25% faster than traditional inverter models.
Actual speed is also affected by parts such as feed rollers, traction rollers, sealing and cutting knife holders, cutting knives, timing pulleys, cams, and servo drive components. Hansheng Automation can precision-machine feed rollers, traction rollers, sealing and cutting knife holders, cutting knives, timing pulleys, cams, clamps, and other bag making machine parts in single pieces or small batches according to customer design drawings. We can use stainless steel, aluminum alloy, carbon steel, or engineering plastics, control tolerances to drawing requirements, and provide surface treatments such as anodizing, blackening, nickel plating, or powder coating.
Our custom precision machining capability is not limited to bag making machines. In addition to printing machinery parts, food packaging machinery parts, and filling machinery parts, we can machine yacht precision parts, RC car precision parts, tobacco packaging machinery parts, medical device parts, and feed packaging equipment parts according to drawings. After customers provide drawings, Hansheng Automation can support prototyping and batch production for non-standard parts.
