A chain elevator is a common vertical transport device. It uses a chain drive and a mechanical structure to move loads up and down. The main parts are an electric motor, a reducer, a chain, sprockets, guide rails, and a platform.

The motor is the power source. When it starts, it converts electrical energy into mechanical energy and outputs rotary power. The reducer connects to the motor. It lowers the high speed and low torque from the motor, increases torque, and makes the power suitable for the elevator.

The reduced power goes to the sprocket. The sprocket turns and drives the chain that meshes with it. The chain runs around the sprocket and specific points on the guide rails. The platform connects firmly to the chain. As the chain moves in a loop, it pulls the platform up or down along the guide rails. This moves goods or people vertically. The guide rails guide and support the platform. They keep the movement steady and accurate.

For safety and stable operation, the elevator also has safety devices such as an anti-fall device and an overload protection device. The anti-fall device locks the platform quickly if the chain breaks, preventing a fall. The overload protection device cuts power automatically when the load is too heavy, preventing equipment damage.

Wear parts such as chains, sprockets, and platform connectors can reach their service limit. Hansheng Automation can machine replacements from customer drawings. We match material, tolerance, and surface treatment to the drawing and working conditions.

Hansheng Automation also machines custom precision parts for food machinery, printing equipment, medical devices, and packaging lines. We work from customer drawings for single pieces and small batches.
