Installing cam plates on a Swiss-type lathe breaks down into five steps: preparation, removing parts as needed, positioning the cam plate, fastening, and checking and adjustment.

Preparation
Check that the cam plate model matches the Swiss-type lathe. Prepare wrenches and other dedicated installation tools.

Remove front parts as needed
When installing a balance tool holder cam, remove the left-side bracket on the bed first. For other cam types, check the machine model requirements to confirm whether the corresponding front structure needs to be removed.

Position and install the cam plate
Install the correct cam at the specified position on the distributor shaft. The zero line on the cam must align fully with the corresponding center. Do not install the cam in the wrong direction. Cam plates, distributor shafts, tool holder brackets, and similar parts can be machined to customer drawings, for single pieces or small batches.

Fasten the cam plate
After positioning, tighten the cam plate with the proper tool. Confirm again that the installation direction and position are correct.

Check and adjust
First check by hand that the cam plate is firmly installed. Then start the Swiss-type lathe and run it without load to check the cam plate. If there is binding or offset, adjust it promptly.

Beyond cam plates for Swiss-type lathes, our precision component machining capability also covers non-standard parts for CNC machine tools, automated assembly lines, medical devices, semiconductor equipment, and textile machinery. We also machine precision structural parts for yachts and RC race cars. Hansheng Automation machines single pieces or small batches to customer drawings, with material, tolerance, and surface finish specified by the drawing.
