Calculations for premade bag automatic packaging machines usually involve packaging speed, material fill weight, and packaging film length. Different bag types, films, and materials require different input values.

Packaging speed calculation

Calculate packaging speed as hourly output:

Packaging speed (bags/hour) = [60 x motor speed (rpm)] / [motor revolutions per packaging cycle]

For example, if motor speed is 1200 rpm and one packaging cycle uses 20 revolutions:

60 x 1200 / 20 = 3600 bags/hour

This equals 60 bags/minute.

Actual output also depends on bag opening, discharging, sealing, and bag type. The calculated value estimates theoretical output under the mechanical drive cycle.

Material fill weight calculation

For regular granular materials, use density and volume to calculate fill weight per bag:

Fill weight (g) = material density (g/cm3) x fill volume (cm3)

If density is 0.8 g/cm3 and fill volume is 50 cm3, the fill weight is 40 g per bag.

Actual filling also depends on material flowability, moisture content, and feeding mechanism accuracy.

Packaging film length calculation

For standard three-side or four-side seal structures, estimate film length as:

Packaging film length (mm) = (packaging length + packaging width) x 2 + seal edge length

If packaging length is 100 mm, width is 80 mm, and seal edge is 10 mm:

(100 + 80) x 2 + 10 = 370 mm/bag

Use this result to control film cutting. Different seal widths, zippers, vent holes, and bag types change actual film consumption.

These calculations ultimately affect the dimensions and tolerances of sealing knives, zipper sealing dies, clamps, suction cup holders, bag formers, cutting knives, and other parts. Hansheng Automation can precision-machine these packaging machinery parts in single pieces or small batches according to customer design drawings. We can use stainless steel, aluminum alloy, carbon steel, or engineering plastics, control tolerances to drawing requirements, and provide surface treatments such as anodizing, blackening, nickel plating, or powder coating.

Our custom precision machining service is not limited to premade bag packaging machines. In addition to filling machinery parts and tobacco packaging machinery parts, we can machine yacht precision parts, RC car precision parts, printing machinery parts, food machinery parts, and medical device parts according to drawings. After customers provide drawings, Hansheng Automation can support prototyping and batch production for non-standard parts.
