In a mold workshop, a pneumatic automatic palletizing machine suits batch production of small mold parts or mold core stations with uniform specifications. A manual solution suits single stations with multiple specifications, small batches, and limited space. The core difference is that the pneumatic type is more efficient but has higher cost and working condition requirements, while the manual type is more flexible but has efficiency and safety concerns.

Advantages and disadvantages of pneumatic automatic palletizing machines in mold workshops

Advantages
Stable palletizing efficiency. A single station handles small workpieces ≤50 kg, with palletizing accuracy of ±2 mm. It suits batch stations with a daily throughput ≥300 pieces.
Pneumatic components resist cutting fluid and lubricating oil mist in mold workshops. Annual maintenance cost is about 3% to 5% of total equipment price, so maintenance cost is low.
It can connect with workshop conveyor lines, reducing workpiece transfer and handling steps, and suits assembly line operations.

Disadvantages
High initial investment. A small pneumatic palletizing machine costs about 20,000 to 80,000 yuan. Adapting to multiple stations requires extra cost.
High site requirements. It needs a dedicated palletizing space of 1.5 × 2 m, and large mold equipment cannot block the surrounding area.
Narrow workpiece adaptability. Changing the palletized workpiece specification requires reprogramming and debugging, taking 1 to 2 hours. It does not suit stations with mixed specifications.
If pneumatic grippers, connectors, positioning blocks, and other parts are worn, we can machine replacements according to customer drawings and support single-piece and small-batch production. Hansheng Automation machines to drawings, with materials and surface treatments selected for the actual working conditions.

Advantages and disadvantages of manual solutions in mold workshops

Advantages
Very low investment. It only requires manual work with manual suction cups or a forklift. It suits temporary stations or small-batch, multi-specification scenarios with a daily throughput ≤100 pieces.
High flexibility. It handles mold workpieces of any specification up to 100 kg without programming or debugging, and the palletizing position can be adjusted with the station.
No dedicated space requirement. It suits mold workshops with dense equipment and limited available space.

Disadvantages
Low palletizing efficiency. It depends on operator skill, with only 3 to 5 pieces per minute under stable operation, and workpiece collisions occur easily while mold parts have high precision requirements.
Continuously high labor cost. A single station needs a fixed operator. Long-term work causes fatigue, leading to tilted stacking and safety hazards.
When manually handling mold workpieces ≥50 kg, there are risks of back injury and collision. Additional dedicated manual handling tools are needed.

Our custom precision parts machining capability is not limited to palletizing machines. Hansheng Automation can machine yacht precision parts, RC car precision parts, filling machinery parts, and tobacco packaging machinery parts to drawings. We can also machine non-standard parts for printing machinery, food machinery, and medical devices. We machine to drawings with attention to dimensional consistency and delivery responsiveness.
