Process

 

Mold manufacturing

 

Firstly, based on the drawings and the requirements of customers, wooden molds or clay molds for carving and casting are manufactured. Finally, metal molds with high precision is formed after being shaped through processes such as compression and vibration.

 

Sand mold preparation

 

The process flow for preparing sand molds includes sand selection, cleaning, sorting, drying, sand mixing, mold making, baking, etc. During this process, it need to pay attention to the selection of sand, the control of its moisture content and viscosity, as well as the preheating and pre-impregnation of the mold.

 

Casting

 

The casting could be carried out after the preparation of mold and sand mold. Before casting, it need to inspect the mold surface whether there are defects on it (such as cracks, slag spots, etc.). At the same time, preheating it to a dry state to ensure the quality of the grey iron casting. Next, the casting is heated to a certain temperature and then is poured into the mold. The casting needs to cool and solidify; this process is called setting which often requires special equipment such as water coolers and baking ovens.

Cleaning and Treatment
