Rotary indexer works by having an internal shaft and a unique structure linked to it. It is a type of motion platform device that lets the whole platform spin 360 degrees horizontally and keeps stability during the rotation process. It consists mostly in an internal shaft, an exterior platform, and a balancing mechanism. Designed and tailored to fit needs, the exterior platform is a space used for displaying exhibitions or performers. Among common forms are circles, squares, polygons, etc. Underlying the external platform and joined to it by a tray, the hollow rotating platform's internal shaft is its essential component. To provide rotational motion, one can drive the internal shaft using a motor.

Rotary indexer usually fitted with balancing mechanisms, hollow rotating platforms help to preserve the stability and balance of the platform during the rotation process. The balance device may change the balance depending on the weight distribution on the platform, therefore preventing platform tilt or shaking during rotation. It usually run by a computer, It's control system can adjust the platform's stop location, speed, and rotation direction in line with demands.

Hollow rotary table is a mechanical device for precise rotational positioning adapted to servo motors and stepper motors. Hansheng Automation provides with a repeated positioning accuracy of less than or euqal to 15 arcsec, and a maximum load of 1000 kg.

When selecting a hollow rotary actuator, we need users to provide the following information:

1, Total weight of loading

2, Diameter of turntable

3, Maximum speed, or how many seconds and angles to rotate

4, Installation method, (vertical, horizontal or suspension)

At the same time, we also need to understand the customer's application conditions.

If there is an eccentric working condition, please tell us the eccentricity and other information.

If there are drawings or application pictures or videos, it will be helpful for accurate selection.

After obtaining the above information, our engineers can perform calculations based on these parameters to select the appropriate model reduction ratio, and adapted motor model.

1, The internal needle roller bearings must be routinely rust prevented and tested for rust.

2, Steer clear of collisions and steer clear of running across the connecting components in assembly.

3, Make careful to link it to the load side.

4, Use gloves to prevent rotating shaft direct contact between hands and foreign objects.

5. To prevent damage, never disassemble and reassemble the good.

6, Check whether the model and product load complement one other. Temporarily stop using the input shaft if there is any sliding there.

7, Note noise. Should there be an obvious unusual noise, one must stop using, investigate the source of the disturbance, and rule out whether screws are loose.

During the use of  rotary indexer, some common faults may occur. The common faults and solutions for hollow rotating platforms are as follows:

1, The positioning accuracy does not meet the standard

This problem may be due to the hollow gap not being adjusted properly. By adjusting the structure of the hollow rotating platform, reducing the gap position can solve the problem.

2, Excessive heating

Excessive heating is generally caused by small hollow gaps. First, confirm the required accuracy and continuous running time. If it is not caused by excessive heating due to long continuous running time, adjust the gaps appropriately while ensuring the required accuracy.

3, Input shaft slipping

First, confirm whether the selection is correct, whether the product parameters match, and then confirm whether the product load during use meets the usage specifications.

4, High noise

It is generally a normal phenomenon for noise to occur when the hollow gap narrows or expands. But obvious abnormal noises are usually caused by problems with the cooperation between the back cover and the shell during adjustment. The problem can be solved by readjusting it to the appropriate position.
