On February 24, it was reported that Vanar Robotics is a humanoid robot research laboratory located in India. The lab officially unveiled its first humanoid robot prototype, the Vanar Generation 1, on February 21.
Vanar Generation 1 is defined as biomechanical humanoid intelligence for businesses and homes. As stated on the lab's website, the robot is designed to perform real-world tasks, combining functionality, efficiency, and adaptability.
IT House noted that in a post on Platform X, the lab also mentioned that it hoped that Vanars would be able to safely transport humans in the event of a catastrophe/apocalypse.
This robot is still under development, so there is not much official information about it other than its appearance. In the future, the lab is expected to reveal more details about the capabilities and usability of the Vanar Generation 1 robot.
Vanar Robotics aims to make this humanoid robot as affordable as a motorcycle, which suggests that the price won't be too high.
