Step 1: Exterior cleaning and fastening inspection (takes about 2 minutes)
Cleaning and dust removal: Turn off the power of the equipment, wipe the surface of the divider and the connection parts with a dry soft cloth, and pay special attention to removing the dust and packaging waste (such as film debris, label residue) at the gear meshing area and around the locating pins to avoid impurities getting stuck and affecting the indexing accuracy. If there is oil accumulation, you can wipe it with a small amount of neutral detergent. Do not directly rinse it with a high-pressure water gun.
Fastening check: Use a wrench to check one by one the connecting bolts between the divider and the main frame, as well as the fixing screws of the input/output shaft couplings, to ensure they are not loose (standard: there is no obvious displacement when shaking the coupling by hand, and no idling when turning the bolts). If loose bolts are found, they should be tightened according to the torque value marked in the equipment manual (usually 8-12N · m) to prevent component misalignment caused by long-term vibration.

Step 2: Lubrication status verification and replenishment (takes approximately 2-3 minutes)
Oil level check: Inspect the oil gauge window on the side of the indexer to confirm that the lubricating oil level (46 # extreme pressure gear oil is recommended) is between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. If it is below the "MIN" line, slowly add the same type of lubricating oil to the standard position to avoid high oil level causing oil temperature rise or leakage.
Lubrication effect judgment: Manually rotate the input shaft of the divider (the power source needs to be disconnected), and feel whether the rotation is smooth, without jamming or abnormal noise. Observe the meshing surface of the gears. It should show a uniform oil film luster and no dry grinding marks. (If there is local blackening or metal debris, stop the machine immediately for inspection to check if there is gear wear.)
Maintenance of the grease injector: Inspect the grease injector at the top of the divider. If it is found to be clogged, clear it with a thin iron wire and then press the grease gun to replenish lithium-based grease (once a month, 2-3 times each time) to prevent the bearing from drying out and wearing out.

Step 3: Run the performance test (taking approximately 1 to 3 minutes)
No-load test run Connect the power supply of the equipment, switch to "manual mode", and let the divider run no-load for 3 to 5 cycles. Observe whether the station switching is accurate (which can be judged by the built-in positioning detection sensor of the equipment, with an allowable error of ≤0.05mm). If there is a positioning deviation, the positioning bolt on the side of the divider needs to be fine-tuned (each adjustment should not exceed 1/4 turn). Retest after adjustment.
Load status observation: Activate the "automatic mode" of the equipment. Under normal packaging conditions (such as loading packaging boxes, bottles, cans and other materials), listen to the operating sound of the divider. There should be no sharp abnormal sounds or periodic vibrations. Touch the housing of the divider with your hand (after running for 10 minutes). The temperature should be ≤60℃ (not hot to the touch). If the temperature is too high, check whether the lubrication is insufficient or the load exceeds the standard.
Record and abnormal handling: Record the inspection results (such as oil level, fastening status, and operational deviation) in the equipment maintenance log. If problems such as positioning error exceeding the tolerance, abnormal noise, or oil leakage are found, stop the machine immediately and contact maintenance personnel for further inspection. It is strictly prohibited to operate with faults.
Through the above three steps of daily inspection and maintenance, the failure rate of the packaging machinery divider can be effectively reduced, ensuring that the equipment maintains stable indexing accuracy, helping the packaging production line achieve efficient and continuous operation, and reducing production interruption losses caused by equipment failures.

The company has over ten years of manufacturing experience in the field of high-precision reducers, such as cam indexer(the standard accuracy is ±30 arc sec, and customization can achieve an accuracy of ±15 arc sec).
