On October 30, medical staff at Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were using robots to rehabilitate patients.
On October 28, in the treatment room of the National Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Center of Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a robot attracted the attention of patients. According to the principle of moxibustion in traditional Chinese medicine, this robot transmits the thermal effect generated during the burning process of moxa sticks to the meridian system of the human body to mobilize the body's immune function.
"This robot can accurately mimic the doctor's hand to perform moxibustion treatment. Through simple operation, doctors can easily command the robot to perform traditional Chinese medicine moxibustion methods such as suspension moxibustion, finch pecking moxibustion, whirlwind moxibustion, and reciprocating moxibustion for patients. Wan Zhaoxin, the person in charge of the rehabilitation center and deputy chief physician, told reporters.
Traditional moxibustion methods often struggle to maintain a consistently high quality of the technique. The operator is easy to get tired after a long time of operation, which leads to non-standard techniques and affects the treatment effect. In contrast, robots can maintain precise manipulation for a long time and can perform various operations in a standardized manner, ensuring the consistency and effectiveness of treatment.
"I usually work at the desk for too long, and my shoulders and waist always feel uncomfortable, but after the moxibustion robot treated me today, my body is much more comfortable." Mr. Zhang, who came for treatment, told reporters.
Wan Zhaoxin introduced that moxibustion robots are suitable for the treatment of patients with sequelae of stroke, neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain, insomnia, tinnitus, obesity, stomach pain, allergic rhinitis, low immunity and other problems.
Robots, therapists, wearables...... In recent years, cutting-edge technologies have been widely used in the fields of TCM disease diagnosis, clinical treatment and patient rehabilitation, making health services more accessible.
Recently, the meridian leveling treatment instrument independently developed by Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was officially put into use. The device can treat up to 8 patients at the same time and is easy to manage by medical staff. "With this treatment device, medical staff can configure treatment prescriptions for patients, and adjust parameters such as treatment duration and treatment intensity according to individual differences." Wan Zhaoxin said.
It is understood that there have been 5 sets of intelligent rehabilitation equipment in the National Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Center of Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including 1 upper limb rehabilitation training robot, 1 lower limb rehabilitation training robot, 2 moxibustion robots and 1 meridian leveling therapy instrument.
"Great, with the help of the robot, I believe that it will not be long before I will be able to stand up and walk." In the treatment room, Mr. Chen said happily while exercising to stand and walk with the assistance of a lower limb rehabilitation training robot.
Patients with paralysis of the lower limbs insist on rehabilitation training, which is a great challenge to the patient's physical function, psychological and emotional performance. Su Tongsheng, a famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor and rehabilitation medical expert in Shaanxi Province, introduced that the lower limb rehabilitation training robot can shorten the process of patients from lying to standing, effectively alleviate the pain of patients during rehabilitation training, and improve their psychological and emotional feelings.
Whack-a-mole reaction training, big fish eating small fish tracking training, shooting speed training, airplane shooting hand-eye coordination training...... The training program of the upper limb rehabilitation robot allows the patient's motor function to be exercised and improved. "In the past, training was boring and boring after a few minutes. Now, with this device incorporating training into the game, it feels like time flies. Ms. Cui, who is doing upper limb rehabilitation training, told reporters.
"The upper limb rehabilitation training robot is designed for people with upper limb dysfunction, which can provide passive, assisted and resistant rehabilitation training, integrate rich game scenes in training, greatly stimulate the subjective initiative of patients, and can effectively improve the range of motion of upper limb joints, enhance muscle strength and muscle endurance, and improve patients' upper limb coordination and control ability." Song Qinqin, a physician at the rehabilitation center, introduced.
It is understood that the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Encephalopathy, Shaanxi Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital and many other hospitals in the province have introduced a variety of intelligent assisted rehabilitation equipment in traditional Chinese medicine treatment to help patients carry out rehabilitation training and improve efficacy.
"With the development of science and technology, rehabilitation robots, as an innovative product that integrates advanced technology and medical needs, are gradually entering people's field of vision. It brings new hope to patients on the road to recovery and also injects impetus into the development of traditional Chinese medicine. Wan Zhaoxin introduced.
