On March 3, according to the Nanjing Investment Promotion Bureau, Nanjing Jiangbei New District enterprise Nanjing Nanzhi Advanced Optoelectronic Integrated Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Nanzhi Optoelectronics"), together with partners such as Nanjing Zhiman Technology, developed the first photon AI smart engine "OptoChat AI" in China, and has completed internal testing. It is planned to be officially launched in March and open to the industry for free.
According to reports, the smart engine is based on the top domestic large language models and semiconductor industry models such as DeepSeek, combined with the deep empowerment of more than 300,000 patent documents and industry databases, and plans to provide new technical support for global scientific research and industrial institutions to build a "new link" for the development and production of photon chips.

In April last year, Nanzhi Optoelectronics launched the first "thin-film lithium niobate + X" heterogeneous integrated photon chip production line. At present, the production line is running stably, and two batches of thin-film lithium niobate photon chip products have been delivered. At the end of last year, Nanzhi Optoelectronics and its partners developed the photonic chip AI smart engine - OptoChat, which is equipped with data analysis and intelligent algorithms, deeply integrated with high-precision optical communication and other technologies, and can optimize the design of optoelectronic devices through intelligent data processing and industry model training.
According to the Nanjing Investment Promotion Bureau, in addition to launching the first "thin-film lithium niobate + X" heterogeneous integrated photonic chip production line, Nanzhi Optoelectronics is also the first company in China to achieve 8-inch lithium niobate photonic chip tape-out, and also released the first wafer-level lithium niobate photonic chip PDK (standard process package) in China.
