The final part of the NVIDIA GTC 2025 keynote was robotics, and Huang officially announced that Nvidia, Google DeepMind, and Disney have collaborated to develop a robotics platform called Newton.
Nvidia showed a demo animation, and then a real robot appeared on stage and began walking towards Huang. This robot moves like a robot from Star Wars, making cute sounds and walking naturally.
Huang calls the robot Blue, and it's equipped with a common base model of NVIDIA's latest GR00T N1 robot.
IT House noted that Huang did not disclose the specific parameters of the robot, and the interaction seems to be a little too natural, and it is unclear whether it is completely controlled by AI.
Notably, at last year's GTC 2024, Huang showcased two similarly small robots, named Orange and Green, with essentially identical styling, which Huang called Disney's BDX robots.
