Schneider Electric is committed to contributing 'digital intelligence' to accelerate the construction of new power systems through innovative integration scenarios. During the 31st China International Power Equipment and Technology Exhibition (referred to as "EP Power Exhibition"), Gu Yue, Vice President of Schneider Electric, Head of Marketing for China and East Asia, and Co Dean of the Business Value Research Institute, stated that with the accelerated construction of new power systems, more segmented markets will continue to emerge in all scenarios, technological evolution will continue to innovate, and enterprises will usher in more development opportunities.

As a builder and enabler of the new power system, Schneider Electric has actively practiced agile innovation concepts for many years, accelerated the pace of technology integration scenarios, and helped various industries adapt and integrate into the transformation of the power system, moving towards green, low-carbon, and high-quality development. This year marks Schneider Electric's seventh participation in the EP Power Exhibition. Gu Yue summarized Schneider Electric's innovative measures as "one vertical, one horizontal, and one closed-loop".

The "One Vertical" represents Schneider Electric's in-depth layout in the full lifecycle management of the power system. By releasing the new ETAP power digital twin platform, Schneider Electric is driving efficiency improvements throughout the entire lifecycle of key industries, from design, construction, operation to maintenance.

'One Horizontal' emphasizes Schneider Electric's innovative practice in covering all scenarios of the new power system. From the source side, grid side, load side to storage side, Schneider Electric continuously innovates and iterates hardware and software products to meet the needs of customers in different scenarios.

A closed loop "reflects Schneider Electric's open attitude towards joint innovation. Through collaborative research, co creation, and win-win cooperation with global and local partners, Schneider Electric has achieved significant results in multiple projects. For example, working together with Gute Anengjie to help Fu Lei Library achieve energy-saving, efficient, and low-carbon operation. With the joint efforts of both parties, the Fu Lei Library has reduced its carbon dioxide emissions by about 70% and has been awarded the world's first LEED net zero carbon certified library.

With the continuous evolution of the power structure of the new power system, the penetration rate of new energy will continue to increase. In the current situation where renewable energy cannot meet the green electricity demand of energy consuming enterprises through centralized generation and transmission, energy consuming enterprises will transform from traditional energy consumption to integrated energy production and consumption: that is, energy consuming enterprises will transform from being single consumers of electricity/energy to integrated producers and consumers who can produce, consume, participate in the electricity market and grid interaction.

Gu Yue pointed out that in the process of transitioning to integrated energy, energy consuming enterprises will also face three major challenges: safe and reliable electricity consumption, more economical energy consumption costs, and maximizing the local utilization of renewable energy. Among them, microgrids will become an indispensable infrastructure for energy consuming enterprises. It not only accepts clean energy, but also provides support for the power grid, while bringing safety, economic, and environmental value to enterprises, effectively addressing the three major challenges faced by energy consuming enterprises.
