On April 15, according to Beijing Yizhuang, my country's series of national standards for technical requirements for humanoid robots were officially approved. This is the first batch of national standards in the field of humanoid robots in China, involving multiple technical requirements such as environmental perception, decision-making planning, motion control, and operation.
The humanoid robot industry is currently in a period of rapid development, and standardization construction has become an important driving force for the development of the industry. It is said that enterprises in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone (Beijing Yizhuang) are deeply involved in the construction of standards. Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd. and UBTECH, which has landed its humanoid robot headquarters in Beijing Yizhuang, are co-sponsors of this series of national standards.
Among them, Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center is the main contributor to the series of national standards for humanoid robot technical requirements. It took the lead in writing the motion control technical requirements, and jointly took the lead in the operation technical requirements, decision-making planning technical requirements, and environmental perception technical requirements.

According to inquiries, Beijing Humanoid Robot has previously taken the lead in formulating a number of industry standards such as "Technical Requirements for Intelligent Grading of Humanoid Robots" and "Specifications for Data Collection of Artificial Intelligence Embodied Intelligence", and participated in the compilation and release of the "White Paper on Humanoid Robot Standardization". So far, Beijing Humanoid Robot has created two major platforms, "Tiangong" and "Huisi Kaiwu".
In addition, in this series of national standards, UBTECH takes the lead in formulating technical requirements for operation, and standardizes technical requirements for operation such as dexterous operation, leg movement, dual-arm operation, long sequence execution, multi-machine collaboration, obstacle avoidance, and endurance.
At the same time, UBTECH is also deeply involved in the formulation of industry standards, and has led and participated in nearly 40 national and industry standards. In terms of technology research and development, UBTECH also demonstrates its innovative strength. As of December 2024, UBTECH holds a total of 2,680 authorized patents, including 484 overseas patents, accounting for 57.87% of invention patents, and the number of valid patents for humanoid robots ranks first in the world.
