Humanoid Robots Welcome A Major Breakthrough in The Release Of A Multi-functional Universal Embodied Intelligence Platform

A few days ago, the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center took the lead in the world to release the universal embodied intelligence platform "Huisi Kaiwu", which is multi-functional and multi-machine. This platform will equip humanoid robots with "brains" and "cerebellums" to realize the whole process of intelligence from task understanding to execution.

 

At present, embodied intelligence is still in its infancy in terms of intelligence, and the industry urgently needs a general intelligent platform with multi-ontology compatibility, multi-scenario adaptability, and strong generalization capabilities. The release of the general embodied intelligence platform "Wisdom Kaiwu", which supports multi-ontology and multi-scenario applications, can add an important "puzzle" of the general software system to the embodied intelligence industry.

"Wisdom Kaiwu" is composed of the embodied "brain" of task planning driven by AI large models and the embodied "cerebellum" of data-driven end-to-end skill execution. Among them, the "brain" has the ability of natural interaction, spatial perception, intention understanding, hierarchical planning and error reflection, while the "cerebellum" not only has the functions of grasping, skill disassembly and error processing, but also undertakes tasks such as whole-body control, two-arm cooperation, stable walking and mobile navigation. The humanoid robot with the "brain" and "cerebellum" can be planned by the embodied "brain", and then call the embodied "cerebellum" skill library to perform specific actions, and transmit the execution feedback to the embodied "brain" to form a task closed loop. Through the collaboration of "large and small brains", "Wisdom Kaiwu" can parse natural language interaction instructions, decompose complex tasks into executable subtasks, and ensure the completion of tasks through adaptive error correction mechanism and dynamic path planning.

 

"Wisdom Kaiwu" not only realizes one brain with multiple functions, with the generalization ability to deal with complex tasks in multiple scenarios, but also realizes one brain and multiple machines, and a single software system can be compatible with robotic arms, wheeled robots, humanoid robots, etc., so as to adapt to diverse application scenarios and tasks, and provide powerful perception, decision-making and execution capabilities for embodied intelligent robots.

 

In the future, the Innovation Center will continue to develop "Wisdom Kaiwu" and accumulate more than 100 meta-skills for it, so as to cover most of the tasks in the physical world.
