On June 13th, according to Gartner's latest forecast, the global total revenue of artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors is expected to reach $71 billion in 2024, a 33% increase from 2023.

Alan Priestley, Vice President of Research at Gartner, said, "Generative AI is currently driving the demand for high-performance AI chips in data centers. By 2024, the total value of AI accelerators used in servers will reach $21 billion, increasing to $33 billion by 2028."

Gartner predicts that by 2024, AI PC shipments will account for 22% of the total PC shipments; By the end of 2026, the proportion of AI PCs in enterprise PC procurement will reach 100%. The neural processing unit (NPU) in AI PC can extend its running time, reduce running noise and temperature, and continuously run AI tasks in the background. This brings new possibilities for the application of AI in daily activities.

Gartner believes that the proportion of AI chip revenue from computing electronics products in the electronic device sector will reach a historic high. In 2024, AI chip revenue from computer electronics products is expected to reach 33.4 billion US dollars, accounting for 47% of the total AI semiconductor revenue; AI chip revenue from automotive electronics and consumer electronics is expected to reach $7.1 billion and $1.8 billion, respectively.
