briefly

Emerson recently introduced Energy Manager, a new pre-built software and hardware product designed to simplify industrial power monitoring through quick setup and intuitive operation.Energy Manager is a plug-and-play system that monitors an asset's energy usage in real time, helping manufacturers gain greater insight into energy consumption and operating costs, and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and maximize energy and operational efficiency.

Discover and reduce waste, helping manufacturers reduce energy costs and carbon emissions by up to 30%

Most manufacturers, including original equipment and industrial manufacturers, packaging consumer goods companies, and food and beverage producers, are facing pressure to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact while improving productivity. However, as energy intensive facilities, industrial machinery consumes a large amount of electricity even when idle. To better achieve efficiency and sustainable development goals, operators need to understand the energy usage of their facilities as much as possible to address waste and inefficiency issues.

Simplify industrial electricity monitoring

Emerson has launched a new Energy Manager solution, which is a plug and play system that simplifies industrial electricity monitoring, helping manufacturers optimize energy use, reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and improve operational efficiency.

Emerson's Energy Manager solution can measure energy consumption in real time, making it easy for factory managers to quickly view detailed values and find energy-saving opportunities in idle consumption, peak load, and other aspects. The dashboard of this software is simple and easy to use, providing information on specific asset energy usage, related costs, and carbon dioxide emissions for up to 10 endpoints (which can be expanded to 50 endpoints with permission).

Such a high level of visualization enables enterprises to better manage idle facilities, optimize facility scheduling during off peak hours, reduce the overall electricity consumption of the factory, and significantly lower overall utility costs. Most facilities can reduce energy waste by up to 10-30% and carbon emissions by 15-30%.

The Energy Manager solution is highly scalable, easy to integrate with newly installed or existing energy meters, easy to debug, and quickly achieves return on investment. This software can be pre installed on edge hardware such as PACSystemsTM RXi2 BP industrial computers, and can also be used as a standalone application installed in virtual environments.

Reliable and accurate monitoring of energy costs and emissions is a dream for many companies, "said Eugenio Silva, Intelligent Automation Product Manager for Emerson's discrete automation business." The newly launched Energy Manager solution provides greater visibility for operators, factory managers, and corporate sustainability teams to gain a deeper understanding of energy consumption and operating costs. In this way, companies will better follow up and achieve their goals, comply with regulations, and truly reduce their impact on the environment

For a wider range of media and utility monitoring, Energy Manager software can be paired with Emerson Compressed Air Manager software to provide a concise and clear view of facility energy costs and compressed air usage on production lines, factories, and sites.
