Following the "White Rhino" robot's Guinness World Record of 100 meters in 16.33 seconds, Jingshi Technology, an incubated company of the Zhejiang University Hangzhou Science and Technology Innovation Center, launched Apollo, China's first modular industrial quadruped robot, on the 29th. This "building block" approach addresses the challenge of "one machine for multiple uses" in industrial scenarios. Its core breakthrough lies in the 10-second tool-less quick-change feature for the battery, electronic control, and motor modules. This allows a single person to replace equipment such as thermal imaging cameras and robotic arms in just 3 minutes, completely eliminating the inefficient "disassembly and repair" model of traditional robots.

Technically, Apollo inherits the speed of the "White Rhino" (with an unladen endurance of 5.5 hours). Furthermore, through its proprietary 360NM peak torque articulated motor and characteristic hyperplane reinforcement learning algorithm, it achieves continuous travel with a 40kg payload and operates in a full temperature range of -20°C to 55°C. In field tests at a chemical park, Apollo, equipped with lidar, completed a 3km pipeline corridor inspection in just 27 minutes, with a 62% improvement in fault warning accuracy compared to traditional solutions. Most impressive is its "evolutionary cost"-upgrading computing power or battery life requires only replacing the corresponding module, reducing equipment iteration costs for enterprises by 70%.

"This isn't a simple addition of features; it's a fundamental reconstruction of the 'industrial survival principles' of robots," said Wang Hongtao, CTO of Jingshi Technology. The team tested module compatibility in a mining area at an altitude of 4,000 meters, and Apollo seamlessly transitioned from "inspection mode" to "material handling mode" within 48 hours. Macau Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai personally experienced it and commented: "Replacing the battery in 10 seconds is as easy as changing a mobile phone battery. Chinese intelligent manufacturing is defining a new paradigm for industrial robots."
