In the final of the adult group of the 2025 RoboCup German Open, China's Tsinghua Vulcan team defeated the host German Sweaty team with a score of 9:0 and won the championship strongly, demonstrating the strong strength of China's robotics technology.

RoboCup is an international competition in the field of robotics, which was first held in 1997 and has lasted for 27 years, and is currently one of the world's highest academic and most influential international robotics and artificial intelligence professional competitions. The goal of the competition is to "achieve the World Cup championship of the robot football team by 2050".
The Vulcan team of Tsinghua University, as China's top robot "football team", has ranked among the top three in the robot "World Cup" RoboCup competition for many times. This championship demonstrates its outstanding strength in the field of robot football.
It is worth mentioning that the robot players of the Tsinghua Vulcan team are from well-known domestic humanoid robot companies - accelerated evolution.
At the beginning of the game, the Tsinghua Vulcan team showed a strong desire to attack. With an advanced AI decision-making system, flexible positioning and tacit teamwork, they threatened the Sweaty team's goal again and again, and finally sealed the victory with an absolute advantage of 9:0 and won the championship trophy.
The Booster T1 robot was developed by Accelerated Evolution. In August 2024, Accelerated Evolution demonstrated the humanoid robot for the first time at the World Robot Conference. Tall, 1.2 meters tall, weighing about 30 kilograms, the Booster T1 has 23 degrees of freedom, is able to walk in all directions, and can get up autonomously. It can last 2 hours of walking, 4 hours of standing, and can easily complete actions such as kicking a ball, push-ups, and Ip Man squats.
In addition, Booster T1 also has perception and positioning functions, outstanding impact resistance, provides 200 TOPS AI computing power, and supports the combination of device-side large models. In the kicking scene, the Booster T1 shows excellent performance, the leather is fall-resistant and supports secondary development. These technical advantages enabled Booster T1 to show strong generalization ability and operation control ability in the game, providing a solid guarantee for the victory of the Tsinghua Vulcan team.
Founded in 2023, Accelerated Evolution is committed to the development of humanoid robot ontologies with more mobility capabilities and an easy-to-develop operation control development platform. Cheng Hao, the founder and CEO of the company, graduated from Tsinghua University under the tutelage of Professor Zhao Mingguo, and has accumulated rich experience in research and development of humanoid robots for many years. Hao Cheng not only has profound attainments in the academic field, but also has a former senior management in the byte system, with rich experience in large-scale production and research team management and complex business commercialization.
Professor Mingguo Zhao, the chief scientist of Accelerated Evolution, is a researcher in the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University, and is also the director of the Robot Control Laboratory and the Center for Brain-inspired Robotics at the Center for Unmanned Systems. His research has been featured on the cover of the journal Nature and he has developed several humanoid robots.
The team has accumulated scarce R&D experience in the field of bipedal/humanoid, and its members have rich experience in operation control algorithms and humanoid ontologies. Based on this, the company has successfully built a prototype of a fully self-developed humanoid robot in less than 3 months after its establishment, using force-controlled joints and bipedal design, and is committed to developing "the most reliable, most stable, can complete complex actions and have high enough precision" humanoid robots.
In September last year, Accelerated Evolution announced the completion of a 100 million yuan Pre-A series of financing, which was jointly funded by the other side of the world, CMBC International, Zhongguancun Science City and iCANX Fund, and followed by the old shareholder Innova Angel.
Tsinghua Vulcan's victory in the RoboCup German Open is not only an affirmation of accelerated evolution technology and strength, but also injects new impetus into the development of robot football in China. We have reason to believe that in the near future, China's robot football team will be able to create more brilliance on the world stage and move steadily towards the grand goal of 2050!
