On October 15th, leading power battery manufacturer CATL and JD.com announced a comprehensive strategic partnership. The two parties will collaborate deeply across multiple core areas to establish a new paradigm of cross-sector cooperation encompassing "new energy + retail + logistics."

In the field of new energy vehicle refueling, the two parties will focus on promoting the market implementation of "Chocolate Battery Swap." They will collaborate on establishing official direct sales channels for battery swapping, promoting the vehicle-battery separation model and expanding related vehicle sales. Furthermore, leveraging the nationwide "JD Car Care" network, the two parties will engage in battery aftermarket cooperation to provide professional services to vehicle owners.
Zero-carbon logistics is another core focus of the partnership. The two parties will leverage CATL's Qiji heavy-duty truck battery swapping solution and integrate it with JD.com's trunk logistics system to promote the large-scale deployment of electric heavy-duty trucks. They will also jointly plan a network of battery swapping stations to establish an efficient energy replenishment system covering trunk transportation and industrial parks.
In addition, CATL will provide JD.com's industrial parks and logistics hubs with a one-stop green energy solution featuring "solar storage, charging, and swapping," including Qiji battery swapping, to help them build zero-carbon demonstration parks and achieve clean electricity and low-carbon operations.
The two parties' collaboration will also extend to areas such as the digitization of industrial supply chains, administrative material services, data center energy adaptation, and new energy support for JD.com's overseas operations, enhancing core competitiveness through complementary resources.
This collaboration marks the deep penetration of new energy technologies into the retail and logistics industry chain, providing a replicable model for upgrading consumer services and achieving zero-carbon transformation in the industrial sector.
