The rack and any number of teeth of the same modulus can be meshed correctly, so when the hob cutter rolls through the gears of different numbers of teeth of the same modulus, the required tooth profile can be obtained. By regularly distributing the teeth of the rack cutter on the helical surface of the cylinder, the shape of the hob cutter is formed.
